Kindle VS Nook Wars – Episode Two: The Laundromat

I own a Kindle.  My husband owns a Nook.  You can see where this is leading…

We’re quietly reading while waiting for the dryer to ding.

“My Nook’s battery is almost dead,” says Hubby.

“Really?” I say, “that’s too bad.”  I continue reading Violet Midnight by Allie Burke on my Kindle.  “I haven’t charged my Kindle for over three weeks.”

SCORE:  Nook 0.  Kindle 1.  (TOTAL: N1 to K1)

  1. LOL. I love this. Though I do own a Nook, I’m siding with you on this one. Just… because I can. Hope you’re enjoying the book. 🙂

    1. Thanks Allie. Loving Violet Midnight. For the Nook VS Kindle…it’s an ongoing competition in our home. But either way, we get to enjoy great ebooks like yours. Thanks for stopping by.

  2. I totally love your material, exactly what I was looking for, I definitely appreciate it.

  3. Thanks for cracking me up with this post, Mande. I just delved into my first Kindle, having fought the impulse to cave into yet another cold, flat screened device. Where, oh where, have our soft, pulp scented sheets of imagination gone? Ok. Ahem. I’m totally hooked on my Kindle. No glare (I can read by sunlight), no more achy tiny type, and talk about battery stamina – going on a month now w/out charging. Count my vote for the Kindle!

  4. Pretty good post. I have really enjoyed browsing your blog posts. Whatever the case I’ll be subscribing to your feed and i also hope you write again soon! Thanks a lot, I’ll try to come back often. Merry Chrismas!

  5. Kindle is the best deal and product. My books are available on both, but Amazon Kindle lets me offer them for better prices after I said I wanted the prices lowered. B&N Nook still charges more for books stuck under older contracts. If you want more bang for your money, Kindle ends up being the obvious choice.
